How this site handles visitor and newsletter information.
This notice describes how the site and daily newsletter handle your information, as of September 8, 2026.
Information you submit
The site has no account, contact, comment, or payment forms. Newsletter signup asks only for an email address and requires confirmation before adding that address to the newsletter audience.
Newsletter processing
Resend processes the address to deliver the confirmation email. Upstash Redis stores the pending address with a one-time confirmation token for up to 24 hours and keeps rate-limit state used to prevent abuse. The token itself is stored only as a cryptographic digest.
Subscription preferences
After confirmation, Resend stores the contact and newsletter-segment membership. Unsubscribe status is retained so a new signup request cannot silently override a prior preference. Explicit confirmation is required before a returning address can be resubscribed. Every daily edition includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal by emailing dustin@dustinturner.ai.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure page performance. These services do not set cookies and do not build cross-site visitor profiles; they record aggregate information such as the page visited, referrer, country, and browser type. No advertising trackers are used.
Hosting and security data
Hosting, network, email, and rate-limit providers may process routine information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, and delivery events. Their infrastructure and retention practices are outside this application's code.
